This family came to us looking for a full makeover to the outside of their home. They were having leaking issues with the roof and also wanted to update the old siding and trim to get it all done at once. When we first showed up to take a look at what was causing the leaking on the roof, we noticed that the step flashing was all shown. The roof did not have any counterflashing to cover those pieces of step flashing. Counterflashing is used to prevent water from getting behind the step flashing and up under your shingles. We started with the roof to go ahead and stop the leaking they were having. We installed new vinyl siding, aluminum trim, and new vinyl porch columns. The original home was all wooden. The new updates help save them time with less maintenance required to the outside of the home.
